Contradictions

In a world where black and white is a grey area
The choice to live or die is becoming an option
Where you search for weapons of mass destruction with weapons of mass destruction
Where political correctness masks the truth

Where wait a minute means wait an hour
Where ‘til death do us part means a while
Where I love you really means I want you
Where all trust has broken down

In a world that can feed itself yet starves itself
A world that hates first and lies through its teeth
Where politicians say one thing and mean another
And the authorities retaliate first for personal safety

A land that bans hugging a crying child
A mind that twists the knife rather than removes it
A home where hope seems lost
A life that seems pointless to live

Isn’t it good to know God says I am the same yesterday, today and forever.

Noel Donaldson

I was asked recently what do I do? I thought for a moment and eventually replied, “I do what I am asked to do!” This seemed to sum it up well. I am a Bass Guitarist who plays Guitar, writes music, scripts, plays, short novels and monologs, anything I am asked to.
My music is where I first started, my parents were in the Huddersfield Choral Society, and my Father was also a member of the Colne Valley Male Voice Choir. He also was the Historian for CVMVC and also wrote the match day programme for his beloved ‘Fartown’, Huddersfield Rugby League Club. Sadly he died in 1984 by his influence carries on.
I joined Woodhouse Church Choir as a young boy and eventually joined the ‘back row’ as a Bass! I am grateful for the grounding I received from the choir but in the early seventies I discovered Radio 1 and my musical preference was instilled there. I learned to play Violin as a child and played in several of the School's Orchestras, I also played percussion, which has given me a good grounding in classical music.
