I was asked recently what do I do?
I thought for a moment and eventually replied, “I do what I am asked to do!”
This seemed to sum it up well. I am a Bass Guitarist who plays Guitar,
writes music, scripts, plays, short novels and monologs, anything I am asked
to.
My music is where I first started, my parents were in the Huddersfield
Choral Society, and my Father was also a member of the Colne Valley Male
Voice Choir. He also was the Historian for CVMVC and also wrote the match
day programme for his beloved ‘Fartown’, Huddersfield Rugby League Club.
Sadly he died in 1984 by his influence carries on.
I joined Woodhouse Church Choir as a young boy and eventually joined the
‘back row’ as a Bass! I am grateful for the grounding I received from the
choir but in the early seventies I discovered Radio 1 and my musical
preference was instilled there. I learned to play Violin as a child and
played in several of the School's Orchestras, I also played percussion,
which has given me a good grounding in classical music.
